Help that helped

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like your drowning. Those days where your tired of fighting the good fight. It just doesn’t seem worth it to keep trying. These feelings are part of what I struggle with, not every day, but enough days in the month. Today, as I read an email from a friend and classmate, I stepped back for a moment after I replied to her email. In helping her in just a few words, I managed to find the fight within me to keep pressing on. A wise friend of mine once told me that no matter what you’re going through, someone else in this world has it worse. It may seem like a cold or cruel thing to say, but if you think about it; she was right. Yes, you may have received the worse news in the world, but once you start to cope with and accept it, then you will see or hear someone else who just might be in a worse situation than you are.
