In The Words Of…..

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Some people value accomplishments as wealth, career, owning their own home, and a variety of other things, however, a true accomplishment is finally being happy with what you have, who you have in your life, and most of all, being happy with yourself. This type of accomplishment doesn’t come easy or quickly. Some may have already achieved it, but others are still in the race.

As long as you are true to yourself, you are on the right track. don’t get me wrong that owning a house is great, having money beyond the bills and debt, having a career, but that is not what life is all about. It is not the things that God has planned for us. He wants more than those materialistic things.

One thing that I always believed and said since I can remember, is that I’d rather be happy and be poor, then miserable and rich. I’d rather live in the woods or in a cardboard box with those I love than in a condo or house with those who don’t know love.

Go for the goal. Go for your dreams, for your heart, just be true to yourself.

About jazzyjenness

I'm the mother of three girls, a Grammy to two little girls, a girlfriend and we have a cat with many nick names, depending on his mood and activity, or lack thereof. I've been writing since I was about 8 or 9, and it is something that I love to do. When we read books, we do it for entertainment, escape, and education; the three E's. These are also the reasons why I write, to entertain, educate and escape. My desire is not just to do what I love, but I want to give hope and inspiration to others through my stories. Currently, I am working on obtaining my Master's degree in Creative Writing and hope to also become an instructor at my school one day and teach Fiction Workshop.
