A morning revelation

Holy Emotions – Biblical Responses to Every Challenge

http://bible.com/r/47

Every morning I have usually three to four devotionals that I read. One is reading the Bible in a year, two vary in their topics on life and life as a follower of Christ, and one that I’m currently reading is learning how to cope, control or handle your emotions as a follower of Christ. This devotional is great for those of us who suffer with depression, anxiety, fear, panic attacks, etc.. Today, as I was reading it, a passage stuck out and I felt compelled to share this with all of you.

I don’t know about any of you, but I can relate to it. Relate to being more focused on my circumstances than God. More focused on my emotions and the circumstances than God’s love, mercy, grace, and promises. I also found it interesting as I was briefly mentioning this to my therapist yesterday and have often thought about how much I want to be closer to God, honor him and be like his followers in the Bible.

This is not only a revelation but can be looked at as a humbling lesson.

I hope that this passage, this devotional will help you in some way.

God bless you all.

About jazzyjenness

I'm the mother of three girls, a Grammy to two little girls, a girlfriend and we have a cat with many nick names, depending on his mood and activity, or lack thereof. I've been writing since I was about 8 or 9, and it is something that I love to do. When we read books, we do it for entertainment, escape, and education; the three E's. These are also the reasons why I write, to entertain, educate and escape. My desire is not just to do what I love, but I want to give hope and inspiration to others through my stories. Currently, I am working on obtaining my Master's degree in Creative Writing and hope to also become an instructor at my school one day and teach Fiction Workshop.
